Introduction to Ingres II Course Outline

Overview

This course introduces the basic concepts of relational databases and covers all major aspects of the Ingres II form-based tool set.

Upon completion of this course students will be able to:

access and use Ingres/Menu
access and use Visual DBA
create database tables
discuss how to define and execute queries with single and multiple tables
produce and customise reports

Audience

This course is for anyone who is new to Ingres and requires a working knowledge of the forms-based tools.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course. No knowledge of Ingres is expected.

Format

Instructor-led class consisting of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on lab exercises.
