Crystal Reports: Advance Your Skills
 
 
 
Audience

Crystal Reports users who wish to expand their knowledge of Crystal and work more effectively.

 
Prerequisites

Completion of Crystal Reports: Basic or similar experience with Crystal Reports.

 
Format

Instructor-led class consisting of lectures, hands-on exercises and demonstrations.

 
What will you Learn?

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Create and use parameter fields to accept user input; create and use edit masks and pick lists for parameter fields; and create and use subreports.
  • Arrange field objects by adding, merging, and deleting report sections; and add hyperlinks and OLE objects.
  • Use variables, arrays, and ranges in formulas; create formulas that use multiple functions; use Evaluation Time functions to determine when a formula is evaluated; use For and While constructs to control the execution of statements in a formula; and create and modify running totals.
  • Use dictionaries to create and modify views of relevant data; use ODBC to access data from different types of databases; use Crystal SQL Designer to create SQL queries; and create, modify, and delete report alerts.
  • Create and customize charts and maps to display report data graphically and geographically.
